"HI!:-)  This is Jordan Poe and I raised $85.00 for the water wells. It first started off for the chapel for these desks and then I saw the DVD for the water wells. That just made alot of sence I thought that god would want me to give the money to something that would save people lifes, and make people VERY HAPPY and so I dicided to give the money to that. Because people need water more than they need desks. I thought um how am I going to raise money for those water wells. So I asked my mom(Debbie Ring) and step dad (Jim Ring) if they had any ideas for rasing money for the water wells. My step dad  had the idea of a yard sale. So I  thought that it was a good idea so I said ok and my mom and step dad put an add in the paper. So me and my faimly made some signs as well it was on Setember 8th 2007. On that day it was so post to rain and we prayed to god that it wouldn't rain that much or not at all. That day it only sprinkaled and when other people came fom unitown and stuff they said it was poring down rain. That was our "mircal of the day"we were so great ful of god!!  Thats how i raised money for the water wells."

Sue Collins
Cherry Grove Community Chapel

My pastor husband and I came home for General Conference excited about how our church might be the answer to someone's prayers oceans from Cherry Grove Community Chapel.  We prayed and asked the church for their help.  We placed on our altar a pitcher of dirty water and one of clear blue water, alongside a barometer to measure our progressive giving toward our goal of $4000 by Christmas.  We titled it "Deep Well, Deep Faith".

We agreed that money for the well had to come from God, not from our current tithes and offerings.  It has been amazing how God has helped our small congregation of 35 or so to "find" money.  Some have sold things they no longer use, some have found money in the dryer or a coat pocket.  Some have decided that they will contribute their loose change or every quarter they receive.

But the best story comes from 7 year old Ryan.  Our church families watched the video at home, but Ryan's mom told me that she didn't think he was even paying attention.  Not long after, Ryan brought an envelope to church which contained $67.00 for "The Well".  Ryan had recently saved enough money to purchase a go-cart, and the $67 was the total he had saved for gasoline to ride it. It was everything he had, but he insisted on giving it all.  Needless to say, Ryan challenged us all to give sacrificially!

We are currently working with the Free Methodist World Missions Center and missionaries in Africa to drill a well, hopefully in Mozambique!

Pastor Charlie Young
LifeHope Community Church
Canton, Ohio
Having taken on the responsibility of assisting with a smaller church on the weekends, I continued to fulfill my main responsibilities as superintendent throughout the week. Being only a part-time pastor I was careful about what I attempted to challenge the congregation to do with limited supervision and oversight and resources. We were thoroughly thrilled at what God had done in our hearts...now we are thoroughly thrilled at what Clear Blue is going to do in the villages of Africa. Our prayer is that many thousands more will take ownership of this vision and join in the miracle of Clear Blue.” We received our offering that morning and as people were leaving a lady shook my hand and said she was going to sponsor one well all by herself. She had left her checkbook at home but promised to bring it next Sunday. Our people had two more weeks to invest toward the wells and by the time all offerings were in, including the lady’s pledged amount, we had raised $4,991 toward Clear Blue for those in Africa. PTL…..that meant we could sponsor three more wells, with some toward a fourth. This spring we decided to purposely plan to raise more money for wells and began promoting it ahead of time. We were all challenged to give to sponsor at least one more well and, by faith, perhaps two. The entire service was geared toward presenting the need and challenging our people to respond. Some recent photos of one of the new wells taken by Pastor Rob Blair, while visiting Africa served to excite our people as they saw first-hand what can happen with just a little sacrifice on our part. Within ten days our congregation had responded amazingly to that illustration and gave nearly $2,000 for new wells. Enough to sponsor a new well and have some to put toward a second well. PTL...we were ecstatic. However, that all changed in the fall of 2006 when, in a message, I used the account of the challenge our sister church, Cornerstone, had responded to in raising thousands of dollars for new wells in Africa. They had exceeded their expectations enormously and I used that as a challenge to our congregation about what God can do through His people, fully devoted to Him.
